The City of Roswell will hold an informational meeting concerning annexation into the City on Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006 beginning at 7 p.m. at the Cox Road Fire Station located at 825 Cox Road in Roswell.
Roswell’s Mayor and Council will welcome new residents that have already been annexed into the City and answer questions from those who are considering annexing into Roswell. Mayor Jere Wood says the meeting is important since most of Fulton County has incorporated into cities.
“County Commissioner Lynn Riley told me there’s a very good chance Fulton County may have to raise taxes for those unincorporated pockets. It’s important that folks consider annexing into an adjacent city, and Roswell will welcome any neighborhood that wishes to be annexed into our great city.”
Roswell City staff, including the acting city administrator and department heads, will be on hand to answer residents’ questions about city services.
