There is an email that is being sent out to various recipients that is allegedly from the FBI.

The email states that the addressee has been "accessing illegal websites," and requests that the addressee open up an attachment and answer the questions in that attachments.

From all indications, this is a bogus email. It is suspected that if the attachment is opened, it will cause some problems with your computer.

This occurrence has been reported to the local FBI office, and the suspect email has been forwarded as well for review.

If you receive the email in question, please notify the local FBI office.

Thank you,

Deputy Brooke Mantha
Crime Prevention Officer
Forsyth County Sheriff's Office
