The A Friend's House ‘Prevent’ Committee’s LUNCH & LEARN happens this Thursday, November 17th, 11:30 a.m. till 1:30 p.m., and will cover the topic of Methamphetamine Treatment and Funding. And the first meeting of the Meth Task Force will meet immediately following the Lunch & Learn meeting.
All are invited to this FREE lunch and prevention program, hosted by the Prevent Child Abuse - Forsyth Committee. This program will concentrate on the available treatment and funding options for clients with methamphetamine addiction.
Speakers will include: Potter’s House, No longer Bound, ABBA House, and Forsyth County Drug Court.
This session is open to those people who are interested in the well being of children and the prevention of child abuse.
The Lunch and Learn sessions are held quarterly at the Bennett Education Center, NORTHSIDE Hospital Forsyth, Bldg. 1400. Different topics are addressed each quarter.
Directions to the Lunch & Learn Event:
Take Hwy. 400 to Forsyth County, Cumming;
Take Exit 14 – Hwy. 20;
If coming north on 400, make a left-hand turn onto Hwy. 20;
Make a right at the first red light (see BP Gas Station on right);
Follow this road to the right entering Northside Forsyth Hospital;
The Bennett Education Building is to the left of the main entrance of the hospital.
