Alpharetta, GA….. The City of Alpharetta Police Athletic League is pleased to announce that Glenn Schulman has accepted the position as Chairman on the PAL Board of Directors. Mr. Schulman will serve a two year term.

Glenn is the Assistant General Manager of Operations for Saks Fifth Avenue, Atlanta. He has over 27 years of retail management experience and received both his BA (Political Science) and his MPA (Public Administration) from C.W.Post College, Long Island University in New York. He has served as Community Liaison for and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of his subdivision. Mr. Schulman and his wife, Lauri, have lived in Alpharetta with their three children for more than 7 years. All three children have been associated with Alpharetta PAL as counselors. Additionally, two have been both tutors as well as enrollees in the summer camp program.

Since it’s inception in 1996, the founder of the Alpharetta PAL, Officer Joey Meadows, has served as the President and CEO. Recognizing the need to further the organization, Joey decided to hand the leadership reigns over to a private citizen. After meeting Mr. Schulman and working with him over the last few months, I knew he was the best candidate to take a leadership role in our PAL organization,” states Meadows. Mayor Pro Tem Jim Paine, who has served on the board of directors for PAL since day-one, concurs. “We are fortunate that Mr. Schulman stepped up and accepted a significant role on the PAL board, and is committed to taking PAL, its programs, and presence in the community to the next level” asserts Mayor Pro Tem Paine. Officer Meadows will remain the President and CEO and police department liaison while handling day to day operations.
