FORSYTH COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

REMEMBERING LINDEE

September 23, 2004

Lindee, our beautiful retired K-9, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in her sleep Monday night. (www.rainbowbridge.com). She was found Tuesday morning by her handler, Cpl. David Garrison. Lindee was 12 years old.

Although Lindee had retired from active police work in 1999, she still loved to play and was active up until the end.

Lindee began her career in law enforcement with the Hall County Sheriff's Office, where she worked for five years, then she and Cpl. Garrison moved over to our agency for her last four years of active duty before she retired.

Throughout her career as a Police K-9, Lindee amassed an amazing record. She is credited with dozens of drug arrests, including one marijuana bust that weighed in at over 100 pounds. She also was directly responsible for the seizure of over $100 thousand dollars in ill-gotten cash.

Lindee contributed in other ways, too. She whelped 10 other puppies that are now being used in Law Enforcement throughout the country.

.....and she loved to play with a tennis ball.

Lindee will indeed be missed.
