Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were honored recently at the Fifth Annual Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Governor’s Challenge Awards Program, held at the Georgia International Convention Center.

The agency captured Third Place overall in Class 5, which consists of agencies with 101-250 officers, for its traffic enforcement efforts. This includes our County's H.E.A.T. team, D.U.I. Task Force and Traffic Specialists. The award is intended to recognize outstanding achievements in both highway safety enforcement and public education.

In addition to the Third Place finish, the agency also shared First Place honors with several other agencies in the Multi-Jurisdictional H.E.A.T. Team category. Finally, Forsyth County shared First Place honors with other Georgia H.E.A.T. teams in the competition sponsored by the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
