The Roswell Police Department is working an officer involved shooting.

On Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at around 6:45 p.m., the Roswell Police Department received a call from a person stating that someone was following him. The caller stated that he was westbound on Holcomb Bridge Road (Ga. 140). A few seconds later the caller stated that he was in a Yellow Nissan Xterra and the people following him were in a gray Chevrolet Suburban. The caller also stated that he was being shot at.

Officers were dispatched to the area and located both vehicles westbound on Holcomb Bridge Road (Ga. 140). Several officers made a felony stop on both vehicles at Holcomb Bridge Road and Old Dogwood Road. At some point during the felony stop a weapon was thrown from the passenger side of the Suburban. Verbal commands were given to occupants of both vehicles to show their hands. The passenger in the Suburban continued to move around in the vehicle and leaned out of the passenger side window. At that point officers were approaching both vehicles. A shot was fired by one of the officers at the scene. The shot came from a 12 gauge shot gun. The passenger of the Suburban was hit along with the driver of the Suburban.

The driver sustained minor injuries to the neck and face area: and was taken to the North Fulton Regional Hospital. The passenger's injuries were more serious with wounds to the side of the torso. He was taken to Grady Hospital in serious condition.

The driver of the Nissan Xterra sustained a stab wound injury to his upper leg. This injury happened prior to the felony stop.

One arrest was made at the North Fulton Regional Hospital:

The driver of the Suburban;

ADRIAN DEMETRUS HUDSON, b/m, 24, 6/8/81, 3355 Sweet Water Road, Lwrenceville.

 

CHARGES:

Aggravated Assault (Party to the Crime) (No bail)

 

The passenger of the Suburban has not been identified as of the writing of this release.

The victim in the Xterra is;

Eddie Floyd Snow, w/m, 39, 1525 Laurel Crossing Pkwy, Buford Georgia.

The case is still under investigation by the Roswell Police Department and the GBI. The officer involved has been placed on paid administrative leave by procedure.
