We are pleased to share news that improvements to the State Route 400 southbound exit ramp at Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell have been completed, as part of the Widening Project along this corridor. Department contractors recently put the finishing touches on a widened and extended exit ramp that should improve both traffic flow and safety. The heavily-used ramp was widened to two full exit lanes from GA 400 and now provides two left (east) and one right (west) dedicated turn lanes onto Holcomb Bridge Road.

The exit lanes’ taper from GA 400 was also extended to help prevent exiting vehicles from queuing into mainline GA 400 traffic. Other signage, safety and drainage improvements also were made.

Also in relation to this project, Georgia DOT is replacing asphalt along the Mansell Road exit and entrance ramps (north and southbound). As you might recall, this work was originally scheduled to take place earlier this month. Unfortunately, the work was impacted by weather and crews were unable to complete the task. Therefore, the work has been rescheduled.

The northbound exit and entrance ramps at Mansell will be temporarily closed beginning Friday, May 19 at 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday, May 22 at 5:00 a.m. The GA 400 southbound ramps will be closed June 2-5 over the same time period, weather permitting
