There are at least 35 hurricane victims currently staying with friends or relatives in Forsyth County, and we are expecting that number to grow significantly. These victims are requesting mainly food assistance and help obtaining prescription medication. Neighboring counties are also experiencing the same kind of requests. Atlanta is directing people north!

The American Red Cross will be opening a shelter this evening, September 1st. Once details have been finalized, another notice will be posted.

If you'd like to make donations of miscellaneous items, including food, that are so desperately needed, please deliver them to The Place of Forsyth County. Here is the address:

2550 The Place Circle

Cumming, GA 30040

(770) 887-1098
