During September, and especially during Labor Day Weekend, law enforcement agencies will conduct statewide enforcement waves of sobriety checkpoints and concentrated patrol activity for (OZT) OPERATION ZERO-TOLERANCE: YOU DRINK AND DRIVE. YOU LOSE. Motorists who are checked will receive brochures about the campaign. Drivers who violate Georgia’s DUI laws will go to jail.

STATEWIDE OZT CRACKDOWN

Forsyth County is one of hundreds of Georgia communities participating in the GOHS One Hundred Days of SUMMER HEAT campaign to reduce speed and save lives on our highways. “Operation Zero-Tolerance: You Drink and Drive. You Lose.” is part of the GOHS impaired driving enforcement campaign. OZT is supported by the Georgia Sheriff’s Association, the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police, the Georgia State Patrol and by more than 500 law enforcement agencies throughout the state. For more information about OZT visit the GOHS website at www.gahighwaysafety.org.
