Residents of Ivy Hall Assisted Living on State Bridge Road presented a live nativity on Wednesday, Dec. 13. Animals from The Little Red Barn in Canton, Georgia, were brought in for the nativity scene and for the residents to pet. Aileen Cameron, Activities Director at Ivy Hall, stated “Our residents enjoy participating in all kinds of activities throughout the year.

Recently, we took a group to Johns Creek Baptist Church for their Christmas presentation and we decided we wanted to put on our very own nativity scene. Johns Creek Baptist loaned us some of their costumes, we arranged for the animals, and it all came together as a wonderful Christmas celebration.” Resident, Ray Batson, a retired minister, played the role of Joseph. “This Christmas is the first one since my wife of 55 years passed away. It is wonderful to be surrounded by an extended family like the people at Ivy Hall. The staff provide many activities for us to stay engaged and active. I especially enjoyed participating in the nativity, which reminds all of us of the true meaning of the holidays.”
