WHO:

Atlantans and visitors are invited to ring in 2007 in an entirely new way as Georgia's newest attraction -- Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament -- hosts its first-ever NEW YEAR'S EVE EXTRAVAGANZA on Sunday. Guests will "party like it's 999" while enjoying modern party festivities in an 11th Century setting.

WHAT:

Revelers will enjoy a four-course feast while experiencing a live tournament of jousting, swordplay, horsemanship, chivalry, romance, wizardry and falconry. The party then moves to the Castle's Hall of Arms where guests may endulge with hors d’ouvres, a midnight countdown and Champagne Toast, party favors, live DJ and dancing, balloon drop and continental breakfast. The party continues until the early hours of January 1.

WHEN:

Festivities begin at the 9:30 p.m. dinner and show.

WHERE:

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament is located at Discover Mills, 5900 Sugarloaf Parkway in Lawrenceville. Tickets may be purchased at the castle or at www.medievaltimes.com or 1-888-WE-JOUST (935-6878). The King strongly recommends buying tickets in advance. All seats at $67.95 for this family-friendly, all-ages New Year's Eve event.

OTHER INFORMATION:

Since its grand opening in July 2006, Medieval Times Georgia has hosted more than 80,000 guests, placing the new attraction among Atlanta's top 25 destinations. Media who are interested in a tour of the Castle or need photos should contact Nicholas Wolaver, Edelman, 404-832-6353 or nicholas.wolaver@edelman.com.
