Roswell Reads Selects 2007 Book

Roswell, GA (December 4, 2006)-The Roswell Reads Committee has selected The Valley of Light by Terry Kay as the 2007 Roswell Reads book. A companion book for children, entitled The Biggest Fish in the Lake by Margaret Carney, has also been selected. Both books are available for checkout at the Roswell Regional Library.

 

Roswell Reads is a community reading program that works like a giant book club with additional related activities to enhance the experience for all who participate. Readers have two months to read the selected title and take advantage of various book discussions.

 

Examples of The Valley of Light activities include (pick up a Roswell Reads Program Guide for a complete list of events):

Saturday, January 20 & 27, 2007-Writing Workshops: Points of Departure

Sunday, January 28, 2007-The Valley of Light Movie

A new Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation starring Chris Klein and Gretchen Mol features a dramatization of Terry Kay's book. Check local listings for air time.

Wednesday, February 21, 2007-Book Discussion at Coffee Buy the Book
