The Roswell Police Department is working a Strong Arm Robbery that occurred on Georgia Hwy 9 at Magnolia Street around 2:40p.m.,on today, December 27, 2006.

 

A call came into the 911 center from a citizen who said that he was watching a taxi cab behind him and it looked like to him that the passenger had his hands around the throat of the driver. An officer was dispatched to the area of Georgia 9 and Magnolia Street. When the officer arrived he saw the taxi go thru the parking lot of a Shell gas station trying to exit back onto Ga. 9 and go southbound. The officer blocked the taxi from going back onto Ga. 9. The passenger bailed and a foot pursuit began. The perpetrator was apprehended behind the Wachovia Bank, 37 Magnolia Street, hiding in a dumpster.

 

All of the money taken from the driver was recovered: a total of around 183.00.

 

 

SUSPECT:

H/M, MIDDLE 20'S, BEING BOOKED AT THIS TIME. NO IDENTIFICATION YET.
