Answers:
1. There will be some paperwork to fill out upon your arrival to the office. It is beneficial to arrive a few minutes prior to your appointment to complete this process. A copy of your insurance card will be made at that time. The session time is usually 50 minutes in length but the first one may be an hour. During the first session there is a need to gather a lot of information and will most likely not provide you with any answers to your concerns. However, if there is an urgent concern we will deal with it first and gather information as needed.
2. This is variable. Some concerns take very little time, just a few sessions. Others may require more sessions and considerable time. The more information that can come from you and the more involved you can be with the process the quicker your results will be. We will develop a treatment plan and work together to achieve your goal in a timely manner.
3. My fee in $100 per session, with consideration based on financial ability to pay for services. I expect payment at the time of service.
4. I do not prescribe medication. If medication is needed I will refer to a psychiatrist.
5. I accept several insurance plans.
6. An LPC is a Licensed Counselor who has a master’s degree in a counseling field, and has completed 3000 hours of post licensure experience. Additionally, they must complete 35 hours of continuing education each licensing period.
